Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic, self-starter who drives innovation that excites our customers. As a Software Developer II, you will work in a team of 4-5 developers plus quality assurance members, supported by a Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Development Director.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop application functionality on an Emergency Medical Services Patient Care Report system on the windows platform
  • Actively participate in daily/weekly Scrum Ceremonies
  • Write clean, concise code that is stable, extensible, and meets production requirements and design specifications while anticipating potential errors/issues
  • Write up release notes, stories, definitions to ensure a smooth transition to developers both on and offshore, QA, and product teams.
  • Ensure code is successfully merged into production providing well documented and clear communication
  • Fix bugs and add tests to ensure we never fix the same bug twice
  • Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure optimal operation
  • Stay up to date on the latest technical developments and tools each mobile platform has to offer

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of Windows software development experience in a Scrum/Agile environment 
  • Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, or completed certificate program. 
  • Concise, clear, and open communicator and collaborator
  • Experience using the following tools and technology:  
    -C# 
    -Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and/or XAML 
    -Compact databases such as SQLite or SQLCE 
    -Relational database systems, preferably Oracle, and SQL 
    -Code debugging and QA testing utilizing tools such as the built-in browser debuggers, Wireshark, Fiddler, etc. 
    -Code versioning tools like Team Foundation Server (TFS), git 

Preferred

  • Experience in the EMS, Fire, Healthcare industry 
  • AWS Developer or Architect Certification
  • TeamCity or other CI/CD experience 
  • Experience with Atlassian products including JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket 

 

The salary range for this role is $90,000-$100,000 annually. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
